Open Spaces was commissioned to carry out an LVIA on this 12 hectare site at Newquay in Cornwall to inform a planning application and mitigation design for a residential development of some 320 units and associated infrastructure.
The site, comprising improved and semi-improved grassland with mature native hedgerows and bounded by Newquay’s existing urban fringe, agricultural land and the Gannel River was considered for its landscape character in relation to its present contextual relationship with the surrounding area.
The outline application was won on Appeal.
